Mosaics Withing A Maze

Francesca’s latest series look like a series of collages but they are painted fragments that she works in forms that go alongside time. So within her empty canvas she creates a series of forms that look like cutouts but they are painted fragments of life’s leanings.
“My works have stylistic leaps,” says Francesca.
In these set of works the exudes the essence of life and nature reflected in memory. In these works there is a subtle shades reveal experience and blackened forms aggregate the emotional residue of pasts lived.
The subjects and themes of these particular pictures are developed by the artist in associated works that look like altered or collaged photographs. These fragments develop her themes through experimentation as preliminary or intermediary studies and result in finished stand alone works that that become her latest series.
In these series the great crossing of colour coexists with the shape and patterns of memory studies that look like life adornments and trysts with time.
“For me these paintings are filled by stories that are told by travel. It is painting that gives me comfort and points at the way we allow ourselves to be driven by the unconscious where truth resides or where we believe truth lives.”
